Teamplay and coordination is the name of the game for them and so far, every single one of their opponents has felt the immense pressure of their prowess on Summoner’s Rift. The team seems to be firing on all cylinders with each player doing their part to make EDG function like a well oiled machine. Since the Summer Split started, EDG has been immaculate in the way they play. It’s all or nothing and the two teams probably wouldn’t have it any other way. If they fail, then it’s gonna be a long way down. If they truly desire to scale the steep mountain, then this will be the first step. This is a team that has seen the highest highs and the lowest lows, a team that truly embodies the chaotic and frantic spirit of the LPL. This is a team that will happily throw down the gauntlet and fight to the last breath. If there’s any team that can pull a win out of nothing, it’s Invictus Gaming.
Neny has been a serviceable replacement for TheShy and Xun has been doing his damndest, but there just doesn’t seem to be enough firepower in the squad to overcome this particular hurdle. By all accounts, this should be a whitewash. They’ve been struggling for the past few weeks while FPX has been soaring high with dominating performances on the rift with Doinb performing out of his mind. In reality, IG has definitely seen better days. On paper, this sounds like a hype matchup.
